Hi, just joined as need some advice on an 2006 M6.
During a journey suddenly got this message followed by a completely blank monitor (media screen).
Car has been in a BMW garage for repair since Nov.
Had to purchase a Monitor (parts no longer supported by BMW due to age), which was fitted and at least removed the error code for monitor, but techy couldn’t get passed programming transmission. Was told car needed a new CCC which again I had to source from a reputable European based BMW specialist.
This has now been fitted but still transmission control still not achieved.
Munich helpline was contacted and they have said transmission can ONLY be resolved by fitting new Clutch, Flywheel and ancillaries.
Just seems incredible that what is presumably a software issue has to be solved via new mechanicals?
Would really appreciate feedback on anyone’s experiences.
